Belle’s Aunt Marguerite. In the first draft of Beauty and the Beast, Belle had a sister and an aunt who was determined to improve their social and economic situation by marrying Belle to the, then, aristocratic and pompous Gaston. These are some sketches by Mel Shaw of the scrapped character.
