Results from my character design live stream today!  Thank you to all you lovely streamers that came and gave me input 🙂 Everyone decided to come up with a backstory for this lovely lady and I can’t let it go to waste.  A big thank you to @cachinnus for writing it up for all of us!:

“Savannah Iyari is an elf maiden of the Aoife Woods. Born of two parents, she struck tragedy at a young age when her mother and father were killed by dark forces inherent in the wilderness. Taking her father’s spear and a strip of her mother’s shawl, Savannah roams the forest, keeping safe the villagers that call the Aoife Woods their home.

She finds comfort in a small village, where she enjoys the coffee a young barista lad named Isaac brews for her. She likes it black to match the bitterness of her soul, and with her inability to express her emotions, the love between them is unrequited. Unable to connect to others, Savannah discovers that the wilderness is where she is most comfortable, and forges friendships with the beasts within.

One such, a crow she has named Cacao, is her constant companion. Bonding over a coffee bean that Isaac had gifted her one day, Cacao stays by her side, keeping her company in the darkness of the woods and the evil that lurks amidst the trees.”

i wonder if magic is real, but only in a really mundane way.

when i was little i could almost inerringly switch back to disney channel right as the ads ended when i was channel surfing.

maybe youve never accidentally crushed a ladybug underfoot. maybe your microwave popcorn never burns. maybe you can spin around lots and lots of times before you get dizzy.

is that magic??

honestly im not sure if these are magic or just small, invisible skills. im not sure which i like better.

My ankles never twist.  I’ve always been rather active, I did track for five years (all the running events), and one time while running I stepped in a hole, lost my shoe, and landed sprawling about five feet away.  I pulled my shoe on and kept running.

I have a coworker who somehow makes better coffee than everyone else even though the grounds come pre-measured and all you have to do is load them up and push a button.  I have a friend who has inch long nails that never break.  My brother can copy origami just by looking at the finished product and my mother can do the same with knots.  I knew a guy who never made an error when typing.

Maybe we all have little magics, the kind that you don’t realize you have.  Just tiny things that make your life slightly better but are completely unnoticed on the outside.

this is the cutest post i have ever read…

I can drink like, a lot of wine

TOP TEN MOST DEADLY MINERALS IN THE WORLD

1. Arsenopyrite –

Arsenopyrite, also known as arsenic iron sulfide, is sometimes mistaken for fool’s gold. When heated, it releases a lethal gas, but even just handling it can bring a person into contact with the poison.

2. Chrysotile (asbestos) – Asbestos is a known carcinogen (cancer-causing agent) and destroys the lungs when its tiny crystals become airborne and are breathed in by inhabitants. Best case scenario: lung irritation and scarring. Worst case scenario: mesothelioma, a type of lung cancer that is specifically caused by exposure to asbestos.

3. Chalcanthite – When broken down, chalcanthite kills both animal and plant life by shutting down vital organs. It is so effective at doing this that its most common industrial use is as a plant-killer, to clear ponds of plant growth.

4. Coloradoite –

Found in magma veins, coloradoite is what happens when mercury fuses with tellerium, another toxic heavy metal. When heated, it offgases a poisonous dust. It can also be dangerous if handled poorly.

5. Galena – Galena is extremely brittle, and turns into dust very easily. It can cause lead poisoning if exposed to for long periods of time.

6. Hutchinsonite –

Hutchinsonite is what happens when lead, thallium, and arsenic fuse together. Found all over Europe, and can cause severe sickness, death and hair loss in people it comes in contact with.

7. Orpiment

Found near hydrothermal vents, these rocks are made of arsenic and sulfur. Touching them is enough to release a neurotoxin, but some cultures have even used it as a weapon by rubbing arrowheads into its dust.

8. Stibnite –

Once used as an alternative to silver for making utensils, these crystals killed many before production stopped. The antimony-laced rock can have a similar effect to arsenic poisoning in humans.

9. Torbernite –

Found in granite and made of uranium, these green crystals have been long admired by collectors. As well as being radioactive, however, the rocks release deadly radon gas when heated.

10. Cinnabar –

Cinnabar is one of the most toxic rocks on the planet. It forms near sulfur deposits and volcanoes. When heated or disturbed, the crystals can release mercury, which causes symptoms ranging from severe tremors to death. Ancient medicines, however, believed that the rock had healing powers.
